I'm starting to think that we should just trade our players for picks/prospects. Get something for Clarkson, trade Greene, Zidlicky, Poni, Zubrus, Hedberg and maybe see what Zajac can get you and then put Tallinder on waivers.

Lou isn't gonna make any moves, last year was the year and we aren't a true playoff contender this year. You might say we weren't last year but we also had Parise and the pens and boston weren't nearly as scary as they are now. I hate to admit this since I've gotten used to the devils being constant contenders but i think we should move clarkson for a high pick and let this season go. Going for a run this year will only hurt this team long term.

Send us some toxic waste and you can have Stafford.

This team is crap.

Sell Clarkson to the highest bidder. He's not going to be a consistent 30-goal guy, don't fool yourself.

And they need to just straight cut some of these old, slow, useless defensemen next year. Cut 2 of Sal,Tallinder,A-Train & give Merrill & Gelinas a shot & start to play the kids.

Last year was a fluke. They simply got hot at the right time. Lose Parise and this is what you have. Bunch of old & slow D-men who are constantly out of position or turning the puck over in their own zone, and no one with a sack to put a puck on net.

And an offense that can't gel or finish because the lines are shuffled ala Lemaire.

Which is fine if you can play decent defense, but this team is utterly lost in their own zone, and clueless in the offensive zone.

We've been sold on a lie thanks to last season. Time to rebuild.
